Explanation: I was always told that patience is a virtue. Sometimes during the course of us “talking” to someone we get wrapped up in infatuation. It’s such an innocent emotion that can bear serious consequences. So opposed to rushing into something. I’m choosing to take things slow. (this was an actual text I wrote) Enjoy.
**I wrote this for a stranger; that I saw was upset. I believe that if we have the ability to help someone then we should. You never know what a little time and effort can do for someone else. Enjoy**
Explanation: I don't know you or have any idea of the situation that you are going through but you seem upset. And I preach love all day. It's how I remain calm and sane. Yet, what I am familiar with is men because I am one myself. I am familiar with what we sometimes can do or in a better sense not do to stay within a woman's good graces. Some of us know better. Some of us do not. But what I can say, is that the majority of us never understand women. In retrospect they never understand us either. We communicate differently, love differently, live differently. Hell we even shop differently. The amazing part of it all though is where we found those commonalities amongst all those differences. Those intriguing plateaus where we can not only speak for more than an hour about absolutely nothing, but live cohesively and enjoy each others company. On these plateaus love can manifest. But in the toggle/tug of war of our differences we can sometimes fall of those plateaus hoping that love brings us back, on them together. This was written in inspiration of that. Enjoy
Explanation: The King Series is my next writing saga. Unlike the J series it won’t consist of pieces inspired by a single person. Instead it will be the forward progress of life. There is a threshold in each and everyone of us that we register as our limitation. The J Series will conclude with me surpassing my writing ability. The King Series will be far greater. In the King Series I want to exceed all of my limitations. But in order to do that one has to acknowledge when they acted beneath their own expectations. I introduce to you a mind drift of mine. I call it “Self-Help”.
Explanation: My conversation with Ms. Wright is a different medium of story telling. It's a love story that starts with the beginning yet ends with the middle. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to use something from true inspiration. What does it take for us to choose the person that we are with? In this short story you'll soon learn what brings two people together, as well as what pushed two people apart. So did this story actually happen or not? Read along and I hope you enjoy. I give you the first segment. My Convo with Ms. Wright. Then scroll down to get Her Convo with Mr. Wrong.

Her mind races with different possibilities. All of this is happening so fast. She doesn’t want to hurt the man she’s dating, but doesn’t want to ignore this either. Whatever “this” is.
The bombarding of emotions start to give her a headache. She knew a nice 20-minute shower should do the trick.
After her shower, she steps into a clean bedroom. Jill Scott and Elle Varner CDs are stacked on her dresser. A copy of 50 Shades of Gray and For Colored Girls rests on her nightstand. Fresh sheets clothe her Queen sized mattress. Moist air from her humidifier complimented the absence of dust from her Oak counter top. One would think that it were a personal get away for Oprah in her collegiate years.

Explanation: Love comes in different shapes and forms. It comes from different angles. When you become a parent, the love of your children can sometimes save you. This post is inspired by a true story. Brace yourself, but most importantly enjoy. It won't take long. It won't need to.

Explanation: One important rule to dating is being yourself. But are we really being ourselves? We're 10x goofier around our friends, more open with our families, and act a fool in private. This is who we are. When we date we give someone a portion of who we are. Maybe dial back the jokes a bit. Or we might even speak in a more proper tone. Either way we dress ourselves up. But when feelings get involved, who we are surfaces. The characters that we play become non-existent because our feelings are in fact real. The audition is just that; the transition, from what we play to who we are. Enjoy

Explanation: Love and feelings have a way of taking their toll on us. From one relationship to the next we experience so many different ups and downs. Have you ever wondered what is left of you. Its almost as if we lose something from every painful experience. Origin is what's left of me. Enjoy

Explanation: I feel like the dynamic of what love is has changed in recent years. Well let me not say the dynamic but instead the appearance of it. It almost feels like the mutual connection established between people is not necessarily found on a genuine foundation. Instead it almost feels like everyone is lost as of late. And we just so happened to interact with each other in these lost states, whether it's through drinking, chilling, or sleeping together. But all of which avoid....love. This was written in my response to that feeling. (Don't call it a poem! It's more like a discussion.....kinda.....idk lol)

Explanation: We each have a "dream" person so to speak. That person fits our ideal description of how we want our significant other to look, benefits our lives in every way we see fit and ultimately does whatever we want them to do. Reality sets us apart from that "dream" date. But who is this person in our reality? How does she/he look, feel, and act? What are they like? This post is something unlike anything you've ever seen. For the first time, I'm going to address my dream girl.
First and foremost everyone should go see flight. The movie was incredible. The acting was phenomenal. Personally, for me the acting was too good. Unbeknownst to me the movie played on aspects of alcoholism. From there on it turned into my personal Passion of the Christ (which I would never see again by the way). Sometimes a movie just hits too close to home. For the next 2 hours and 18 minutes of my life, I had to visually confront a past that I had repressed. I had to confront dark parts of my childhood.

Explanation: My mother is a woman that sees the beauty in everything. Fortunately, this ability passed on to me. She would never look at a woman and say she's too dark or too light. But I understand that in America there is a taboo in society that deems light skin women to be prettier. The traits of light skin women are seen more in general representations of women. These discrepancies cause a false identity of beauty in my opinion. When entertaining a brown woman I acknowledge her beauty. And I challenge myself to make her blush.

Explanation: When you love someone that has a child you begin to care for that child. Just recently my ex's daughter came to my mind. The little girl and I were not super close, but we did grow rather fond of each other. Due to the intensity of my feelings towards her mother, my accessibility to her as a father figure was readily available. Though my relationship with the mother concluded, the concern for the child did not. This was inspired from my concern.
Explanation: We all Do what we have to do to stay awake while driving for long periods of time. Sometimes I write. I don't text per-say but I will open the note pad on my phone and write. To me it's a great way to practice my craft. My primary focus can't be the words, it has to be the road, yet the words act as my expression to the driving. For instance if I'm angry as I'm driving the words will have a angry foundation to them regardless of the topic. As I came to a red light my friend asked me to write her something. So I accepted the challenge. The first part of this was a quick poem that I wrote before she asked me to write her something. The second part is what I wrote her. Enjoy *Neither of them are finished**but if you would like me to finish them let me know*
Explanation: Men are attracted to so many different physical features of women. Sheer beauty and prettiness are typically universal traits but there are preference that each man posses. Some men are prefer for a woman to have attractive legs. Personally I have a thing for lips. Of course I love a pretty face and a big ass, but lips by themselves can catch my attention. Recently, I spoke to a woman whose lips made it hard for me to focus on what she was saying. She inspired this poem. *Scroll to the bottom to see who has some of the most attractive lips to me*
Explanation: For years I had been against having casual sex. Most of the world does it; I understand that. But too often I saw people get hurt or mislead. Too often I saw the agreement of fuck buddies misused or even worse, children born through these light arrangements. To avoid such confusion I removed it from my life. I would prefer only to have sex in a relationship, to avoid being hurt in a situation that lacked trust. Hurt exists in relationships but in a different sense. Recently in my life I decided to go against my stance. I didn't care to invest so much of myself into someone anymore. I didn't care to gamble with my emotions. Unfortunately, I ended up hurting someone. And her tears reminded me of why I never wanted to go down this route. And I can't take back her pain, though I wish I could. The situation inspired this:

Explanation: A few days ago I woke up from an awkward dream. In my dream I walked out of a movie theater with my date. In the distance I overheard two people arguing. As the argument became more intense the man raised his fist and struck this women. Something about her seemed familiar and I realized that the woman was my ex. Anger woke me up out of my sleep and I felt a strong urge to call her to make sure she was OK. In that moment I realized that no matter what, I felt the need to protect her. So I ask you, what would you do if you caught a man hitting your ex? Enjoy.......
You can make a lot of mistakes while dating. The main mistake occurs once you realize you're out with the wrong individual. And let's be honest, who wants to spend their time and hard earned money on the wrong person? As a gentleman I decided to take the time and give my comrades a heads up on what to look out for. Enjoy
